The Antigonish/Guysborough Street Crime Enforcement Unit of the RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying potential areas of drug activity in our neighborhoods.
Signs of drug activity can include the following:
Visitors at odd hours;
Quick visits;
Variety of vehicles coming and going from a house;
Drug paraphernalia or drug use is observed;
Blinds or the curtains are always closed;
Vehicles left running in the driveway while the driver and or passenger(s) pays a quick visit.
Drug activity can occur anywhere and in any neighborhood bringing with them other community concerns. These concerns come in such forms as violence, vandalism, noise complaints and general threats to community safety and peace of mind. If you feel this type of activity is taking place, please contact your local police detachment or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Together, we can all make an impact for a drug free community.
