RCMP Apprehend Impaired Driver

On Friday February 7th, 2014 at 2:30 pm the RCMP’s Eastern Traffic Services apprehended one more impaired driver.
A 47 year old man from Pictou County was going to pick up his children from school when he was stopped for driving over 150 km/hr. The man was subsequently arrested for impaired driving and will faces charges of Impaired Operation ( by Alcohol ) of a Motor Vehicle and Impaired over 80 mg% as well as Stunting under the Motor Vehicle Act.
He will appear in Provincial Court in Pictou on April 7th, 2013 to answer to the charges.
Impaired Driving is the leading cause of Criminal Death in Canada. If you suspect someone is impaired while operating a motor vehicle please call 911 immediately. A vehicle includes automobiles, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, vessels and aircraft.
