Identity of deceased man confirmed
February 21, 2012, Antigonish, Nova Scotia
Antigonish RCMP have identified a man found deceased in a wooded area off Highway 104 in Lower South River on December 5th, 2011.
On February 10th, 2012, RCMP released a forensic sketch of the man. Later the same day, RCMP were contacted by a man from Newfoundland and Labrador who believed the sketch resembled his brother. Utilizing DNA testing the RCMP have confirmed the deceased male was 54-years-old and from Newfoundland and Labrador. His name and home community are not being released at the request of the family.
