Antigonish RCMP Media Release – Impaired Driver Arrested After Collision

Posted on January 13, 2015

RCMP received a call of a single vehicle collision on the Addington Forks Road early Saturday evening. Investigators learned a car travelling on the wrong side of the road caused a man to take evasive action and go off the road to avoid a crash. Police acted quickly locating the suspect vehicle travelling toward Antigonish. A 28 year old Antigonish County woman was arrested for impaired driving and taken into custody and escorted to the RCMP detachment to provide samples of her breath. She was held in custody overnight and released this morning on charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mgs. She will be in court on March 11, 2015 for plea.
