Antigonish RCMP arrest Impaired Driver after Collision

RCMP received a call of a single vehicle collision at the Aulds Cove Irving last night just before midnight. A 38 year old Antigonish County man was arrested after he crashed his vehicle into the gas station. The man had left the scene and was later arrested once located by police. He was taken into custody and held overnight. He was released on a Promise to Appear on charges of Refusing to provide samples of breath after a demand by a police officer, impaired driving, breach of probation, leaving the scene of an accident and driving while prohibited. No one was injured; however, there was some damage to a window and gas pump. He will be in court on May 6, 2015 for plea.
