Antigonish RCMP apprehend Impaired Driver Over the weekend

Antigonish RCMP arrested a 41 year old Lower South River man Saturday evening for impaired driving. Police stopped the man after his vehicle was seen leaving scene of a minor traffic collision at a local fast food restaurant. The man was escorted to the RCMP detachment where he provided samples of breath leading to charges of impaired driving and of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mgs. He will appear in court on December 12, 2012 to answer to the charges.

Police responded to 30 calls for service over the weekend and lodged seven people in custody the majority for drunk in public.
