Posted on August 18, 2016

On the morning of August 18th, 2016, Antigonish District RCMP responded to multiple reports of theft from motor vehicles within the Town of Antigonish.

Most of the crimes occurred overnight or in the early morning hours. RCMP would like to emphasize that some of these events appear to be crimes of opportunity where vehicles have been left unlocked. Police would encourage residents of Antigonish to ensure they lock their vehicles, sheds and buildings and to please report any suspicious activity immediately to police by calling 911.

If you have any information about these incidents, please call Antigonish RCMP at 902-863-6500 or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS ( 8477), or text TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637) or by Secure Web Tips at Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award.
