Antigonish RCMP Investigate Car Crash into Convenience Store

Police were called to a convenience store on East Main Street in Antigonish at approximately 1:00 p.m. today. Investigation revealed a pickup truck crashed into the store after the driver lost control her vehicle. The driver, was a 62 year old Antigonish county woman and lone occupant of the vehicle was not injured. The vehicle crashed through the outer wall into the checkout area where an employee was working. The employee a 34 year old Antigonish County woman was taken to St. Martha’s hospital as a precautionary measure for examination.

No charges have been laid to date and the matter is under investigation. Recent weather may have been a factor in the crash.
