Antigonish RCMP identify Break and Enter suspect through social media

January 21, 2013, Antigonish, Nova Scotia. . . On the morning of January 18th, RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter into the Credit Union on Main Street in the Town of Antigonish. Throughout the investigation RCMP were able to obtain photos from security cameras in the area. A photo and description of the suspect were posted on the RCMP Nova Scotia Facebook site in an effort to determine an identification.

RCMP received several calls with information from the public which led to an arrest early Saturday morning. Fifty-three-year-old Robert Carlyle Jack of Antigonish was charged with Break and Enter and was released later that day on conditions.

Early Sunday morning, he was arrested again for Break and Enter into a residence in Antigonish. He faces additional charges of Break and Enter and Breach of Undertaking. He remains in custody and will appear in Provincial Court today in Antigonish.
