Antigonish RCMP charge 18 year old male with multiple charges after stolen vehicle located

RCMP arrested an 18 year old man Sunday afternoon after being called to a minor collision in Antigonish. Investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen after a break in to a residence in Antigonish County. The male was also in possession of a weapon obtained by offence and contrary to a Prohibition Order. The male was held in custody overnight and appeared in court on Monday morning where he was ordered to remain in custody.

Charges against the male include: Break and Enter to a Residence; Theft of Motor Vehicle; Possession of a Weapon Contrary to a Prohibition Order; Flight from Police; Theft under $5000 and Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Offence.

He will appear in Provincial Court on September 24, 2014 in Antigonish.
