Antigonish RCMP arrest Impaired Drivers and issue suspensions over the Labour Day weekend

RCMP arrested a 47 year old Port Hawkesbury man Saturday evening on highway 104 after received complaints of a dangerous driver. He was taken into custody and escorted to the RCMP detachment to provide samples of breath. He was held in custody overnight and released this morning on charges of impaired driving, driver with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mgs. He will be in court on November 5th for plea.

RCMP arrested a 25 year old New Glasgow man early Sunday morning on James Street. He was taken into custody and escorted to the RCMP detachment to provide samples of breath. He was held in custody overnight and released this morning on charges of impaired driving, driver with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mgs. He will be in court on November 5th for plea.

Police also suspended three (3) drivers for (7) days for having an alcohol concentration between 50 and 80 mgs,
