Antigonish RCMP apprehend Impaired Driver overnight

Antigonish RCMP arrested a 21 year old Antigonish County woman for impaired driving last night after she was stopped in the Bayfield area. The woman faces charges of operating a motor vehicle while having a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mgs and impaired driving. She was held in custody overnight and released this morning on a court date of April 27, 2013.

Police arrested a 41 year old Paq’tnkek man for breach of probation after being called to a residence in the community. The man was on conditions not to possess or consume alcohol and was at the address unlawfully. He was held overnight and released this morning on a court date of April 17th, 2013 to answer to the charges.

A 23 year old Ontario man was arrested for drunk in public on College Street in Antigonish early this morning after a disturbance in the area. He was lodged in cells and released this morning on a summary offence ticket for being intoxicated in public.
