Antigonish RCMP apprehend Impaired Driver Over the weekend

Antigonish RCMP arrested an Antigonish County man Sunday afternoon for impaired driving after he failed a roadside screening device. The man was escorted to the RCMP detachment where he provided samples of breath leading to charges of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mgs. The man will appear in court on October 10, 2012 to answer to the charges.

Early Sunday morning police conducted a vehicle stop on Main Street which lead to the vehicle being search under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act. An (18) year old Port Hastings man faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and will appear in court on October 24, 2012.
