Antigonish RCMP apprehend impaired driver and charge another for driving while prohibited over the weekend

A 21 year old Dartmouth man faces charges of impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol over 80 mgs after he was stopped in the town early Sunday morning on St. Mary’s Street. The man was released from custody the following morning and will appear in court on May 2, 2012 to answer to the charges. The man’s driver’s license was also suspended for three months under the Motor Vehicle Act.

Police also charged a 34 year old Port Hood man for driving while prohibited under the Criminal Code. He will be in court at a later date to answer to the charge.
