RCMP reminds motorists to share the roadway

Posted on June 2, 2016

Warmer weather brings out more than just blackflies. Each spring, the Nova Scotia RCMP sees an increase in the number of cyclists on our roadways. As such, the Antigonish RCMP would like to remind motorists that they are required by law to share the roadway and leave at least one metre of space when passing a cyclist. This means that you may have to wait until there is no oncoming traffic to pass a cyclist safely. Remember – road safety is everyone’s responsibility. Please share the road safely.
