December 8, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia…’Tis the season for giving back and the Nova Scotia RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance with a holiday food drive initiative, Stuff the Cruiser.

For two Saturdays – December 12 and 19, 2015 – RCMP detachments throughout Nova Scotia will have a police cruiser ready for citizens to stuff with donated food for those in need this holiday season. All donations will be given to food banks serving the regions in which they were collected on Monday, Dec. 21.

“As police officers, we are part of the communities we serve, and in essence this means we are part of a larger family,” says Nova Scotia RCMP Commanding Officer, A/Commr. Brian Brennan. “Caring for families should be the focus of this time of year. Throughout the Division, our employees will be adopting families, collecting toys and donating food.”

Food donations will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drop-off location is:
