Antigonish RCMP Make Drug Arrest

Following an investigation involving members of Truro Drug Section and the Antigonish/Guysborough Street Crime Enforcement Unit, a 29 year old Antigonish male was arrested on June 28th 2012 near Market Street in Antigonish. This male faces two charges of cocaine trafficking and will appear in Antigonish Provincial court in August 2012 to answer to the charges. The investigation is ongoing.

Antigonish RCMP Execute Search Warrant

On June 24th, 2012, members of the Antigonish/Guysborough Street Crime Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on the Ohio West Road in Antigonish County. Police seized several marihuana plants and a quantity of marihuana from the residence and detached garage. The 31 year old female resident faces charges of production of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. The investigation is ongoing.

RCMP Apprehend Impaired Driver

On Saturday June 23rd, 2012 The RCMP’s Eastern Traffic Services apprehended one more impaired driver.
An 42 year old man from Afton Nova Scotia was stopped by police in Antigonish County. The man was subsequently arrested for impaired driving and will faces charges of Refusing to provide a Breath Sample. He will appear in Provincial Court here in Antigonish on August 1st, 2012 to answer to the charges in addition to 2 counts of Breach of a Probation Order.
Impaired Driving is the leading cause of Criminal Death in Canada. If you suspect someone is impaired while operating a motor vehicle please call 911 immediately. A vehicle includes automobiles, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, vessels and aircraft.

Antigonish RCMP are investigating a damage to property that occurred at approximately 03:20 early morning of Saturday June 23rd 2012, on Arbor Drive in Antigonish.

Antigonish RCMP attempt to locate missing man

Antigonish RCMP attempt to locate missing man

June 21, 2012, Antigonish, Nova Scotia . . . RCMP Antigonish are seeking assistance from the public in locating Jerome Bernard D’Eon.

Mr. D’Eon, a 53-year-old man from Antigonish, is approximately 5 foot 10 inches in height, weighing approximately 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. It should be noted that he has a scar on the top of his head from a past surgery. Mr. D’Eon was last seen in Antigonish on June 3rd.

He usually travels on foot and police believe he may have been in the Moncton, New Brunswick area on June 13th.
