On July 28, 2010, RCMP Eastern Traffic Services, in conjunction with Nova Scotia Vehicle Inspection and Enforcement, conducted a motor vehicle checkpoint targeting vehicles that were unsafe for our roadways.

During the checkpoint, 15 vehicles were deemed unsafe for the road and were issued rejection stickers. Several other Summary offence tickets were issued for various motor vehicle infractions including not wearing seatbelts.

The RCMP continue to work with our policing partners to ensure safe roadways.
